Cookie Policy

Last Updated: August 3, 2026  ·  Effective Date: August 3, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how OmniThrust uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels) on our website and web application, and how you can control them.

It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains the broader scope of data we collect and how we protect it.

The short version: We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and optional analytics to understand which features are used. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the website to remember information between page loads and visits, such as whether you are signed in or which theme you prefer. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which store data in your browser without sending it back on every request.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the Services to function. Without them you cannot sign in or stay signed in. They cannot be switched off through our interface, but you can block them in your browser (which will break authentication).

Cookie namePurposeDuration
better-auth.session_tokenIdentifies your authenticated session. Signed and HttpOnly, so it cannot be read by page scripts.7 days
better-auth.session_dataCached session payload to avoid a database read on every request.5 minutes
__Secure-better-auth.*Same as above, issued over HTTPS with the Secure flag.7 days

2.2 Analytics cookies

Our self-hosted analytics script records anonymous page views so we can tell which pages and features are actually used. It does not set cross-site identifiers and does not profile you across other websites. The visitor identifier is kept in your browser unless the site operator enables the optional identify cookie.

NamePurposeDuration
seline_vidAnonymous visitor identifier used to group page views from the same browser. Only set after an identify call; page-view analytics alone does not require it.365 days
seline:referrer (session storage)Remembers the referring page so the first landing page of a visit is attributed correctly.Until tab closes

2.3 Preference storage

Your theme choice (light / dark) is stored locally so the page renders in the correct theme before any JavaScript runs, avoiding a flash of the wrong colours.

KeyPurposeDuration
theme (local storage)Remembers your light or dark interface preference.Until cleared
seline-do-not-track (local storage)Set when you opt out of analytics. While present, the analytics script sends no events at all.Until cleared

3. Local Storage & Session Storage

Unlike cookies, local and session storage data is not sent to our servers automatically. We use it only for the preferences listed above. Clearing your browser storage removes these values and resets the related preferences to their defaults.

4. Third-Party Services

Some features load resources or redirect you to third-party services that have their own cookie practices:

  • Authentication providers: If you sign in with GitHub or Google, those providers may set their own cookies during the OAuth flow, governed by their policies.
  • Payments: Our payment processor may set cookies on its hosted checkout pages to prevent fraud.
  • Advertising platform authorisation: When you connect an ad platform, you complete authorisation on that platform's own domain, where its cookie policy applies.

We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or cross-site retargeting tags on this site.

5. How to Control Cookies

  • Browser settings: Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
  • Analytics opt-out: You can opt out of our analytics by running window.seline.doNotTrack() in your browser console, or by blocking the analytics script with an extension. This sets a local flag and stops all event reporting from that browser.
  • Sign out: Signing out of your account clears the session cookies described in section 2.1.

6. Changes to This Policy

We update this Cookie Policy when the cookies we use change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes are announced by email or in-app notification.
